Cookies

A cookie rule is about storing information on your device, or reading information already there. It is not about whether a page is served to you; it is about what the page leaves behind.

Cookieless analytics. Google Analytics 4 loads with Consent Mode v2 and every storage signal DEFAULT-DENIED, for every visitor in every country. In that state Google’s tag sets no cookie, stores no identifier on your device and reads nothing from it: measurement is limited to cookieless, aggregated pings. Because nothing about you is stored on your device on an ordinary visit, no consent requirement is triggered — which is why this site shows no cookie banner.

Excluding our own visits. One read does take place, and it is named here rather than passed over in silence: on every page view our own measurement code checks whether the gr_int flag is present in your browser. That is our exclusion for internal visits, so that our test traffic does not end up in the figures. It is written only when a page is opened with ?internal=1 appended — as a cookie with a lifetime of one year, and additionally in local storage. Without that, nothing is written, and nothing on this site links to it. It holds a single flag and nothing about you, and it exists in a browser only if the reader put it there. You delete it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

No advertising. There is no advertising product on this build, no advertising script on any page, and no cross-site tracking.

A consent framework that keeps it that way. The pages carry the standard consent machinery configured to DENY every storage signal by default, for every visitor, before any choice is made — and no choice is ever asked for. It is what guarantees that no tag can ever arrive ahead of the consent defaults.

If measurement or advertising is ever added, this page changes first, and a consent choice appears before anything else does. Last reviewed in August 2026.
